« SERIOUS ACCIDENT ON RACECOURSE. ; DIZZINESS AND A FALL. .(By. Telc.cra.Dh.—Press Association.! Felldlng, November 11. A very serious accident befell Mrs. Schatz, wife of a Eeilding jeweller, at the racecourse yesterday. It appears that she was.out walking, and had ascended a pqrtion of stairs leading to the back of tho grandstand. _Wnilst resting, sho was overcome by dizziness and fell oyer tho rails on to tbo lawn, a fall of about 20ft. As a result, her back was so seriously hurt that Div Jqhnston, who was called to attend tho case, sent her. at once in tho ambulance to the Palmorston Hospital, whoro she lies in a serious state. A FARMER'S DEATH. Wanganui, November 11. This morning, .William. Rapley, a farmer' near Wanganui, Was found hanging in .the milkingshed, quite dead. Medical, evidence showed that _ death had taken placo an hour .previous to tho body being .found.'" Rapley. was fifty years of age, and had not been in good, health. He was in good financial circumstances. , KILLED INSTANTANEOUSLY. -.; VVaihi, November 11. This morning :Joyce Champau, while engaged in repairing work at tho'Waihi' Company's battery, was caught by the wheel of the machinery and ■ killed instantaneously. An elderly man named .Collins, .employed at the Aoroa sawmill,' slipped on the planing flopr last evening and .fell on tho edge of a trap-door. He received internal injuries', from tbe effects of \vhich -.ho died this' morning. '
