TO BE HELD NEXT WEEK. ' Notwithstanding the fact that the Wanganui Show is advertised to be held on Wednesday and Thursday nest, 16th and 17th in -aiotvless. It seems, therefore, neoessnry to repeat that the show will be held on Wednesday and Thursdav, nest, November 16 and 17, and, given fine weather,' the committee hope to see the biggest crowd ever assembled in Wanganui present on the Showground on Thursday. Those who take an interest in the jumping events will have the satisfaction of seeing the two beautiful silver cups, presented by Messrs. Thain and Co., and Messrs. Williams and Co., in the leaping and hunters' 'competitions respectively very keenly contested for. The pony jumping, ladies' jumping, and ladies' and gentlemen's driving competitions will also add considerable interest to the proceedings. Those who are more practical, and whose minds tnrn to butter-fafc-will have a chance of seeing some superb specimens of all the leading milking breeds—Holsteins, Ayrshires, and Jerseys. The hvo very handsome silver challenge cups presented by the Wanganui dairymen promise to be very keenly competed for, and the dairy test class has attracted a very big list of entries. To save confusion, exhibitors. are reminded that all cattle with the exception of classes 49, 50, 51, and 52 have to be on the ground on Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. Class 49 has to be on the ground and milked ' not later than 6 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon, and classes' 50, 51, and 52 are , shown _ the second day only,. and have , to be in their pens at 9 a.m. on Thursday. All other live stock must be penned, benched,' or on the ground at 9 a.m. on Wednesday morning.
