! GATE TOTALS £1500. (By Telegraph.—Press Assoclatlon.l Christchurch, November 11. The Canterbury A.-and 1\ Association's Metropolitan Show closed to-day, when an enormous attendance of tne public were present. In the horses class for blood stock there was not a very 'large entry, and; though the condition of the 1 horses was rather uneven, they showed plenty of quality on the whole, and the judges expressed themselves! as being very , satisfied with the' result of their examination. The entries of cobs and ponies were well up to the usual standard, x both as regards quality and number. The saddle-horse-classes brought out good fields in the majority of cases, and, included in this section, were many old favourites. The Governor was present at the show during the afternoon. The gate takings were as follow:—First day. £17 35.: second, £220 45.: third, £1310 10s.: total, £1547 17s. . '
