MISERY OF THE DEAF.

Humanity »8 afflicted with no more distressing tialady than deafness, headnoises, ringing in the ears, nervous headaches, or any other head or ear complaint, To lose the power of hearing the joyous aounds of life, the lnught"r nwl prattU of children, the voices of those we love, is certainly one of mankind's greatest afflictions. It is therefore interesting to find the new discovery of the Earoscopo system of pure natural Aural Kinetics, by means of which it seems possible to cure deafness and the various car diseases of tho internal organs of tho ear,- hitherto considered beyond tho rcach of medical treatment, and thereforo looked upon as incurable. The substantial proof of the efficacy of this Baroscope treatmont is quite interesting, while we have been informed that it is absolutely painless, and quite simple for any sufferer to apply in their own homes without the aid of a doctor. In consideration of the satisfactory evidence so far received we would recommend all those suffering from ear diseases or deafness, to fully look into it, oven though they may consider themselves incurable. We understand that full particulars can be had free of charge by writing to the Earoscopo Association of Australasia, 30 Pitt Street (Dept. 50), Sydney, N.S.W. * Fish from South Africa, which breathe with lung 9 as well as gills, have been presented to tho London Zoological Society by tho Goeldi Museum, Para. During the dry season the fish curls up at the bottom of a burrow, with its tail over its face, and remains there until the.riso of water dissolves the plug with which it stops the entrauco to the burrow.
