Sydney, November 11. ; A deputation from tho British Immigration 'League urged upon Mr. ji'Gowen, tie New South Wales Premier, the need for action to encourage immigration. The Premier, without committing himself, declared that no one was more auxious to settle people in the interior of the State than the Government.
A SUCCESSFUL MISSION. Melbourne, November 11. As a result of the mission to England of Messrs. M'Kenzie (Victorian Minister for Lands) and Mead .(irrigation expert) nearly 3000 settlers are oxpectod to-arrive here before May next.
