Four hundred and thirty-three delegates, representing . tlio Trade Union Congress, the General Federation of Trado Unions, and the Labour Party, are holding a conference at Westminster. , ' '."'V Mr. Ramsay Macdonald, Labour M.P., moved a resolution in favour of the immediate reversal of tlie Osborne judgment against the use of Trade Union funds for political purposes, and that the judgment should be made a test question at every election. Mt, Smellie, on behalf of . the Miners' Federation, moved to delete the words "made a test question." This was rejected. The chairman stated that the London Compositors' Union contained a large percentage of indifferent members, who needed to be flogged into action. The original motion was carried with one dissentient. , ' LANCASHIRE INDIFFERENCE. London, November 10. The "Manchester Guardian" states that the cotton operatives in Lancashire are divided over the Osborne judgment. A fair percentage is indifferent. The Blackburn Weavers' Association resolved, by a very largo majority, in favour '.of not taking steps to reverse the judgment.
