A return was laid on the table of tho House yesterday showing separately tho present statutory holidays for banks, factories, shops, and offices. For banks the holidays are: New Year's Day, Good Friday, day after Good Friday, Easter Monday, Whit. Monday, Christinas' Day, day after Christmas Day, St. Patrick's Day, St. George's Day, St. Andrew's Day, King's and Prince of Wales's Birthdays, and Labour Day. For factories the holidays are: Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Easter Monday, Labour Day, and King's Birthday, also a half-holiday every week from 1 p.m. There are no statutory holidays for shops, except a weekly half-hohday from 1 p.m. Neither is there any statutory holiday for offices, except a weekly half-holiday from 1 p.m. on Saturdays.
