CENTRAL MISSION.
The people's service of the Wellington Central Mission, at tho. King's, Theatre last; night, took the form of a welcome to tho Maoris. There was a very largo attendance of .tho public, and no fewer than a hundred Maoris, were present, most of them being accommodated on tho platform. The Rev.E. P. Blamires, of Blenheim, ■ who conducted tho service, spoke, words of welcome to tho Maoris, and said .-.that' both Maori and pakeha prayed, to tho same God and Father of all, and rejoiced, in tho words "One is' your Master, even Christ, and all y« aro brethren." This' address was interpreted to the Natives by the Rev. Tabu • Potiki Haddon, of Okaiawa, Taracaki, who also preached, address-' ing himself first to the pakehas and afterwards to his own people. He was listened to with close attention.. The Maori party sang ono of tho hymns ,in their own tongue, and a solo was sung by Mrs. E. P. Blamires. Tho whole service was of unique interest.
