Her good work is known from 0110 end of the Dominion to tho other, and the Wellington folk are now about to make an appeal to assist lier finances. This will take tho pleasant form of a grand carnival to be held at Newtown Park on Saturday afternoon next. A long list of attractions is being arranged, including a beauty show to be conducted on the lines of those held in tho English seaside resorts. Tho show is open to all now resident. in tho city, and the winner will bo elected by tho votes of those present. Dr. Izard will manage the beauty show, and entries may be* made with liici up till 5 p.m. on Friday nest. Among those to assist, in tho afternoon tea kiosk and sweot stalls will bo the ladies of the PlimmerDenniston Dramatic Company. Sports, physical culture displays,' and a baby show will complete a most attractive programme. ■
