MOUNT HECTOR TRACK.

A general, meeting of the/Mount Hector Track Committee was held in the Greytown Council Chambers on Tuesday evening, Mr. Loasby (Mayor) being in tho chair. A letter was received from Mr. W. C. 'Buchanan, M.P., stating that die had interviewed the/Prime Minister, with regard to the .6100 grant, and had been informed that the money would be available in about two months' time. Correspondence was received from tho Department' of Lands stating that inquiries were being made with a view to proclaiming the land in question a reserve. - Messrs. Loasby, Drummond. M. Maxton, W. H. Day, W. Workman, H. Udy, and A.-L. Weteter were appointed a general committee, Mr. Loasby chairman', and. treasurer, and.Mr. M. Maxton secretary. The moating then adjourned for a week. .
