It was decided to reply that i if a Petono man play«d senior he should be pliable .to the Hutt Club for his subscription.' If a senior'player'went down to the junior grade it would bo a mattor for mutual arrangement as to what club should recoive tho subscription. ' The Victoria College Club asked that - bII its, third-class matches should be played nt Victoria- College. ;Tho appli- - cation was not granted, but it was decided that tho association would pay for the use of the wickets in the ordinary
way on terms to be arranged
A sub-committee was appointed to draw up a scheme of duties for the professional coach, tho committee, to consist of tho chairman, secretary, and Mr. Poarce. In the meantime, Saunders is to' be requested to coach from 5 p.m. until 6.30 p.m. each of tho senior clubs in'rotation on -Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, and on Wednesday the Wellington College Club. , On the motion of Mr. C. Hickey it was decided,to commence the senior and junior grado competition's on Saturday next, October 8. , LIST OF TEAMS' ENTERED.

Third-class: Wellington Central, Wellington East, Wellington South, Wellington North, Catholic Club, Templars, St'. Mark's; Y.M.C.A./ Mono, Wellington College (two teams), Hutt, Victoria , \ College, and Karori (conditional). ( Only two entries have been received for the fourth-class championship, and it is, therefore, piobable that .the competition will not be proceeded with. A cricket match was played at Pahautanui on Saturday, married v. single, for. which, the single men claim victory, the game being won on first innings, but, had tho light kept good for one more over, the married would have turned the tables with a few wickets to spare. The ball being greasy tho married men allowed a lot of qatches to find tho ground, which really lost them the jam©. A luncheon was laid in the pavilion." The gamo was watched by a gobd number of sp.x:tators from all ' parts of the district, those including tho member for the district, Mr. W. H.'
