EVENT OUTSIDE THE COURT. Before the Criminal sittings of the Supreme Court began yesterday, a woman named VaJentme Moiser,,who is to undergo trial on a charge of cruelty to a child, was observed by Detectives Kemp and Hammond to be acting iu an unusual manner.in front of the Supreme Court building. Hearing tliat she* had a ♦revolver concealed in her muff, the detectives persuaded her to walk inside into the witnesses' room, and there she was relieved of the revolver and a small bottle of whisky. The weapon, it transpired, was unloaded, and the woman did not have any ammunition in her possession, but it was deemed advisable to detain her at tho police station until she had calmed down somewhat.
