A sacred concert was held in the Town Hall to-niglit to provide funds for tlio purchase of an organ for the local hospital. There was a large attendance of the public. Advice has been received by Mr. H. Holmes., of MatahiwiyStation, that a lino of lambs sent Home by him realised 13s. Id. per head,-which, is tlio highest price secured for North Island lamb, and 3s. 7d. higher than the prices which ruled locally at tho time of the export. '•
