•RESOLUTION BT WINTON JOCKEY . CLUB. -■ '. ;.. • (By Telegrapa.—l'ress Association.) Invercargill, July 26. At the annual meeting of the Wihton Jookey Club,- the iollowing motion was carried:—"That in the interests or sport in Awarua electorate, this aunual meeting of the. \Vinton Jockey Club/'with 187 members, does.not approve of the action of Sir Joseph Ward, as Prime Minister of the Dominion, in introducing.measures to abolish the totalisator, and that the secretary be instructed to forward a copy of the resolution to the Prime Minister."
