EGG=LAYING COMPETITIONS.
TENTH WEEK. The result at the end of tlie tenth week of the egg-laying competition at Papanui is that- G. H. llobinson's pens occupy the first and second places and both have reached the same total. His black orpingtous were leading his other pen by one iast ■ week, but the white leghorns equalised matters, and the total of each now stands at 303. T. Kennedy's silver wyandottes, which was the leading pen of all, has dropped back to third place. The total of eggs (aid during the week was 1335, increasing the grand total to 10,673. Clarke, silver wyandottes 34 245 In the competition for ducks, 79 eggs were, laid during the week, which makes the total 717. W. Knight's No. 1 pen of Indian runners leads with a score of 193, \V. A. Nixon's Indian runners (144) second, and T. Douthwaite's Indian runners (122) third.
