In an interview, Mr. Ifoddoo said ho hoped to extend the relations between the two countries.
He was convinced that a large trade could bfi developed, especially in frozen mutton. Canoda was rxtromely anxious to promote closer relations.
Mr. Beddoe did not regard the 3rought in Canada as very serious, a.s it only affected a potion of the country.
He spoke hopefr.lly of tho prosp-cts of the new stoamor service from tro.nl to New Zoalard, and strongly favours the oxton.sion of transcontinental railwnvs.
