The Wellington Chamber of Commerce ncently Miggesltd to Hie Auckland Chamber the advisableness of the Main Trunk express leaving Auckland earlier than-at present, at. 7.15 instead of 0.15 p.m. TII9 president of the Auckland Chamber replied that 7.15 was rather early to suit most travellers, but suggested S p.m. The Wellington Chamber replied suggesting 7.-15 pjn., and the council of the Auckland Chamber on Friday last referred the matter to the Itaita&y and Shipping Committee. The object of the Wellington business men is to land travellers in this city earlier in tlio day, out it was suggested by a member of the council of the Auckland Chamber that this would bo achieved shortly by the shorteniug of the time of the journey.
