Berlin, June 13. ■ During a thunderstorm six persons were killed, and seventeen were seriously, and ono hundred slightly, injured by lightning in the Jungfernheido Park, a large pleasure area on the north-west side of Berlin. They had been sheltering under the trees. A TERRIBLE SCENE. LIGHTNING RUNS ALONG FENCE THROUGH CROWD. A PROSTRATE WRITHING MASS. (Rec. June 14, 9.15 p.m.) Berlin, June 14. Lightning. in Germany has killed fifty persons during the last twenty-one days. The Jungfernheide Park was crowded with pleasure-seekers. When the storm broke, a thousand took refuge under the trees at Johannis cemetery, which is surrounded with iroubouud palings. | A fearful clap of lightning struck a house, passed into the earth, and carried underground to the palings, where it ran along the iron through the crowd.. AH were momentarily blinded and stunned. Fully a hundred were lying on the ground writhing and screaming. Most of the injuries consisted of severe burns.
