SEDDON MONUMENT.

ARRIVAL OF BROJJZE FIGURE.' The bronze figure which is to surmount the memorial to the late Hon. B. J.,Seddon on Observatory Hill arrived from England by the Arawa yesterday. The design is of an allegorical female figure, artistically draped, holding in one hand a scroll, and in the other a wreath, and gazing downward with an expression • of meditation. The figure was executed by Mr. Henry Poole, an English sculptor, who was ■ recommended for the work by Sir George Frauipton, and the design was approved by a co"mmitteo 'consisting of Lord and Kady Kanfurly, Lord Onsloiv, and the High Commissioner. The tost of the figure was about £5(30.
