Messrs. Dulgcty and Company Limited, report holding their fortnightly stock sale at Scddon as follows :-Wc had a ,'jod yarding of 501) mixed sheep and lambs, 2 cows. 1 pony, all of which were disposed of under the hammer, with the exception of one small pen of ewes, bidding was more spirited than of lute, and prices ruled as follow:—Fat wethers, lis. ICd., 13s. 5d., to Ms. 6d.; fat and forward owes, 6; 4d., 9s. 4d.. to 10s. Id.; s.m. ewes in lamb 10s.; fat lambs, ihorn, 95.; m.n. lambs, 9a. 4d.; cows, £6 15s. to £7; pony. £11). Messrs. Dalgcty and Co., Ltd., report aa follows on their usual fortnightly sale at Eketahuna on Friday :-fJcspite the rough weather, we had a very fair yardin; of both sheep and cattle. Sheep showed an improvement in prices on last sale's rates. Cattle-sold well. We quote;-Wethers, lis. 4d.; fair wethers, lambs, Bs. 7d.; breeding ewes (f.m.), Bs. 6d. to 10s. Id.; empty ewes. ss. 4d.. to Bs. 6(1. Cattle-Springing heifers, £3 55., £4 12s. 6d., £4 175., £5 2s. 6d.. to £5 55.; mixed wcaners, 225. to 305.; empty forward heifers, £3 2s. to £3 75.; bulls, £2 10s. to £3 3s. Messrs. Balgetv and Co., Ltd., report as follows on their Levin sale held yesterday :—Owinjr to the very rough, weather the full number of sheep advertised did not come forward. However, we had a -,od yarding, and with the exception of two pens only the whole entry was sold at the following rates:—Small two-tooth wethers, 12s. Id.; four and six-tooth wethers, 145.; medium fat wethers, 16s. 7d.: small fat owes, 13s. to 13s. 2d.; mixed lambs, 7s. 10d.; fat lambs. 10s.-to 10s. lOd. Cattle': Fat bullocks, medium weights, £8 7s.' 6d.; light fat cows, £5; heifers in calf, £4 .lis.; speyed heifers, £4 4s. to £4 55.; springing heifers, to £4 17s. Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Limited, report as follows:—At Levin, on Friday, all classes. of stock met with keen competition. Every pen of sheep offered sold under the hammer, and with the exception of a few old cows all the cattle changed hands. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:—During the week we held sales at Himitangi and I'almerston North. At Himitangi. on Monday. we had a medium entry ot sheen and a good entry of rattle. Sheep wore dull of sale,- but- cattle sold well, and wo have to report a total clearance. At Palmerston, on Thursday, we' had a small entry of Bhcop and a good yarding of cattle, nearly all of which were sold. We quote:—Himitangi: Medium lambs. ss. 9d.; store ewes, ss. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report for week ending June 11 as follows:—At Apiti,- on Tuesday, we had a good yarding of sheep and a full yarding of good duality cattle. There was a large attendance, and a brisk sale resulted at the following prices :—Sheep, mixed lambs, 7s. 2d.; wether lambs, 6s. to 7s. 4d.; ewe lambs, 10s. 4d.; store lambs, 45.; ewes in lamb, 6s. lid.. 9s. 2d., to lis. 4d.; ewes in lamb to stud lino rams, 165.; empty 'ewes, Bs. to Bs. 5d.; store ewes, 3s. sd. to 4s. 6d.; two-tooth wethers, lis. 2d.; rams, Bs. to 205.; cattle, mixed weaners, 305., 365., 375.. 385.; small weaners, 2Cs. 6d.; weaner bulls, £2 Bs.; weaner heifers, 295.; picked weaner heifers. £2 Bs. to £2 10s. 6d.; heifers in calf, £3 Is £3 7s. 6d., £4 17s. 6d., £5 25., to £5 95.; empty heifers, £4 125.; empty cows! £3 35.; fat cows, £4 Is. to £4 55.; cows, with calves at foot, £3 195.; cows in calf. £4 55., £6 65., £6 155., to £9 17s. 6d.; horses, £5 to £14. Chaff and sundries as usual. At Fei'.ding, on Friday, a moderate entry met with a brisk sale, there being a good all-round advance in. sheep. We quote:— Sheep, mixed hoggets, 9s. 5d.; f.m. owes in lamb, lis. 6d.; cattle, weaner heifers, 355. 6d. to £2 135.; two and a half-year steers, £4 18s.;; three-year" steers, £6 35.; medium fat cows. £5; fat heifers. £5 65.springing heifers, £6 15s. Mr. Newton King's weekly report is as follows:—At the liayinatkct on Saturday a fair number of pigs were penned and sold at the following rates:—Slips made 3s. 6d. to 45.; wcaners, 45., 6d. to 75.; stores, Bs. Gd. to 125.; do., good, , 13s. to 175.; porkers, 21s. to 365. 6d.; gelding brought £5. At ltahotu on Tuesday there was good competition for ail classes, and nearly everything sold cither at the hammer .01 privately. Calves made 225. to 245. 6d.; weaners, 295. to 345. 6d.; heifers, in calf, £3 10s. to £4 12s. 6d.; store eows, £1 18s. to £2 13s. 6d.; forward cows, £4 -10s.; fat cows, £6. On Wednesday at Waiwakaiho yards, the unreserved clearing sale of pedigree cattle, on account of Mr. Charles ClarKe, attracted a very large attendance, buyers - being present from the north of Auckland, and aIEO from as far south as Palmerston North. Bidding was very keen right through the sale, and very satisfactory prices were realised for all classes. Pedigree cows made from 24 guineas to 70 guineas; two-year heifers in calf, 24- guineas to 39 guineas; yearling heifers, 16 guineas to' .44 guineas; two-year bull, Frisky Conipanile, 70 guineas; yearling bulls, 15 to 26 guineas. 1 also sold, on account of Mr. W. J. Freeth, a three-year pedigree heifer by Yankee Sweet, for 61 guineas. At Waiwakaiho on Thursday there was a fair yarding and a good attendance. Calves to yearlings made 335.; heifer do., Jersey strain, £2 25.; store cows £1 10s. to £2 155.; forward do., £3 to £3 6s. 6d.; springing heifers, £5 to £6 12s. 6(1. A lino of well-bred Jersey heifers and cows,were keenly competed for and sold at excellent prices. Four heifers and calves making £11 each, and cows £8 to £16.
