the weekly concerts, which have been suspended owing to the death of King iidwnrd VII, were continued on Wednesday, when Mrs. Williams, the donor of the mission land.and building, provided a most enjoyable, entertainment. The institute was filled to overflowing with an appreciative audience. Mr. J. Moore occupied the clinir. The musical arrangements were in the hands of Miss Mlntyre, the following contributing items to the programme:—Song, Mr. Johnson; song, with violin obbligato, Miss Farmer; vocal duet, Misses Farmer and M'lntyre; viulin eolo, Mr. ■ Farmer; song, Mr. Thoo. Tresize; vocal duet Misses Hardie; song, Miss M'lnljro; viohn solo, Mr. Fanner; song, Sfr. Wilson. Mrs. Carter and Misses Farmer, Hnrdie, and M'lntyre, and Mr. ilcnling (longariro) played the accompaniments, several popular choruses were sung by the audience, and au amusing conundrum competition wns won by sailors from ships in port. The inissioner delivered an earnest address on the temperance question. Twelve men subsequently look the pledge of total abstinence. Jlearty cheers was given for Mrs. Williams and the performers, and light refreshments were dispensed at the conclusion of the concert.
