» '■ —. , PERSONAL NOTES FROM LONDON. London, April 14. Mrs. J. J. Walker, of Gliristchurch, is at present staying with her brother, Mr. E. Worrell, at Wing Hall, Oakhani. Mr. S. F. Clarke, who arrived here on March H, is remaining for an indefinite period, mostly in London. He is on a pleasure trip. Mr. E. Gibbs, of Wellington, has come to London in search of his brother, Mr. W. H. Gibbs, who was last heard of in Kent. So far his efforts have been unsuccessful. Mr. and Mrs. F. Zwingle Moore, of Dunedin, have arrived in London, and arc at present the guests of Mr. Moore's sister, Mrs. F. Warner, at "St. Eonau's," Leigh-on-Rea, Mr. Norman 8011, of Christchurch, who came to England last September i for a three years' course in classics at Trinity College, Cambridge, is holidaymaking at Bournemouth, for a month. Mrs. Jarvis, of New Zealand, is revisiting England after 17 years' absence. Sho nttended a few days ago the golden wedding of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Barnes, of Great Buckhurst Farm, Westfield, Sussex. Mr. T. E. Harrison, of Dunedin, who is accompanied by Mrs. Harrison, is re- , visiting the Old Country after 35 years' absence in New Zealand. They will probably be in England about five months. Principal Robertson, C.M.G., head of Mncdonald College, M'Gill University, Canada, who has resigned his position, is now touring Europe;" and at the end of tho year will visit Australia and New Zealand. Mr. William' Irard', of Christelmrch, who arrived via America on March 20, is staying with friends in London. He has been visiting his brother, the Rev. ■A. Izard, at Arundel, Sussex. Mr. Izard proposes to spend two three muutlia in England. , Dr. Percy Voote, of Whangarci, who took his degree in London last year, and has since October been on a holiday visit to his relatives in New Zealand, is now on his way to England again in order to study for his F.E.C.S., and gain hospital experience. Mr. W. Emory, managing partner of Messrs. A. and T. lnglis, Dunedin, is visiting London, accompanied by his wifo and two daughters. They arrived by th'o Corinthic, on March 16, and intend remaining till October 13, when they leave by the Tninui. Mr. Chas. JR. M. Mnckin, of. Christchurch, is visiting London on private business. On May 7 he sails for Washington as delegate from tho New Zenland Baptist Union to the World's Sun-day-school Convention, and he will probably attend the Missionary Conference in.Edinburgh; in June.
