Bass's filly, by St. Frusquin— Rosaline 3 [The winner was trained by W. Waugh.] [Winkipop showed very consistent form last season, -for out of five starts sho won twice, and wis second on two occasions. Her first victory was a.t tho Newmarket October meeting, where she the Sixty-second Triennial Produce Stakes, while at Newbury in November sho secured the Theale Maiden Two-year-old Plato. Ma«d of Corinth won tho Boscawen Stakes at Newmarket in October, aJid at tho same meeting was successful in the Cheveley Park Stakes. Tho filly by 'St. Frusquin—Rosalino won tJio Rangemore Maiden Stakes at Derby in November. Winkipop was only engaged in the One Thousand, the Oaks and tho St. Lcger, but Maid of Corinth was entered for tho five classics. It is reckoned in some quarters that Maid, of Corinth will prove superior to Winkipop in the longer distances. Tho principal point of interest about this season's classics is tho fact that tho Two Thousand and tho One Thousand have both been won by representatives of tho No. (1) family.}
