THE THORNDON CLUB. , The- annual reunion of the Thorndon Swimming Club was held in Godber's Rooms last, evening, Mr. T. • Ronayne, president, occupyihg tho chair. Amongst the eighty odd swimmers present were: Drs. Izard and Anderson, and Mn J. W. Joynt. Apologies' for ' non-attend- ! ance were received from the patron of the club, Sir Joseph' Ward/ and'.Messrs. Harold. Bcauchamp and J, E. Henrys. The gathering was a most successful one, the toasts honoured during the evening including: "The Patron," "Donors of Prizes," ."Prize-winners," "Kindred Clubß," "The Handicapper,"' and "Visitors." Songs wero given 'by Dr. Hales, Messrs. C. Wilmot, Lett, ;.V: R. Meredith, S.,M,Eellar).P.Thompson; Hickicnott, and B. Jacobs. "" Prizes won. during the' season, were presented as 'under:—E. The ' polo banner won by..Thorndon Club was presented during the evening.' Other special trophiee presented were:—Sir Joseph .Ward Cup, C. Brico; Mr. j. E. Henry's Medal for winner of boys' race at carnival, P. H. Freeth.
