She 'Carried a bouquet of l fine dahlias and autumn leaves,' and wore a pretty gold [brooch,' the gift •of the bridegroom.

Mrs. Leeden, the mother of the bridegroom, was attired in a rich black dress with cream front, and a black hat with ostrich feathers. The ceremony, was performed by the vicar, the Bey. G. P. ; Davys, and Mr. .J.- M;'Dale acted as best man. A reception was afterwards held at the Hotel Windsor, where a large number of friends were entertained. M'Guinness, sen., of South-Carterton, to Miss Minnie Lewis, second daughter of Mr:.John Lewis, of Silverstream, and formerly of the Wairarapa, was solemnised at the residence of Mrs. Dyer, sister of. the bridegroom, Belvedere, on TJmrsday afternoon. Only the immediate relatives of the bride and bridegroom were present at the ceremony, which was performed by the Rev. E. Young, vicar of St. Mark's. Miss B. The Children's Pageant, A meeting was held yesterday afternoon at Mrs. Montagu's house in Majoribanks Street, when arrangements were carried still further forward for the children's pageant, which is to bo held at the beginning of July. Miss Lockio was appointed director of the Oriental Bay committee, and Miss Aloorn secretary. Each group is to dress the children as some (lower, and' to avoid any unfairness the groups will decide by lot. Mr. Johnston is arranging for an orchestra of six or seven performers, and soveral teachers of dancing have undertaken to train little groups of childron. The boys will all bo dressed in elfin costumes of russet browns or greens, and it has been suggested that tho tiniest children should bo butterflies. Tickets for-all parts of the gallery will be sold, as it has been found that from every seat a view of tho floor is to be obtained.
