PAYS LESS THAN STANDARD WAGE. Sydney, April 12. . At the sittings of the Northern Mining Board evidence was tendered that ,the miners engaged at one colliery in filling trucks were in the habit -of employing wheelers to assist them at wages lower than the standard, tho miners themselves pocketing the difference. This evidence was given in rebuttal of statements as to the amount of coal a miner could fill. , WORK FOR THOSE WHO WANT IT. ' Sydney, April 12. The Director of Labour reports that labour prospects for the winter are good. During March 289 men were notified that work was awaiting them, but only 33 accepted it.
