' At ca'imeeting of the, committee of the ■Miramar Golf • Club, held on Thursday evening, it'was decided to play a'mixed foursome competition on the opening day (April 2), for which entries will close with: the hon. secretary on Wednesday, March 30. ■ Inter-club . matches were also arranged, as follow:— - . May 7.—Hutt Club, at the Hutt. ■ June 3.—Featherston Club, at Miramar. June 11. Trentham Club, at Miramar. July 16i—Hutt Club at Miramar. July 30.—1'eatherston. Clnb at Featherston. October L—Trentham Club at Trent- 1 ham. The dates were fixed for the usual ohtb competitions. , There were a great many candidates foT election, and the following gentlemen were elected, bringing the , number o£ members up to the full number:—Messrs. W. Alias, J! E. Barneit, Harold Beauchamp, E. E. Bennett, A. de B. Brandon, jun., Dr. Cahill, W. A. Caminer, W. Doughty, D. M. Findlay.'J. P. Firth, W. E. A. Gill, W. C. Haggitt, D. Kidston, M. F. Marts, E. Y. Milfs, U. M'Cabe, M. A. Philips, H. T. Eichardson, N. A. Eobieson, B. v.W. Shallcrass, P. Spraggon, F. Stevenson,. B.t. Taylor, G. Toogood, and W.-F. Ward. , As there were very few vacancies in the list of lady members, it was decided to allow the Ladies' Committee to elect 6ome additional members with the right to play from Mondays to Fridays only. Sub-committees were appointed in connection with handicaps, ground, etc., and various details arranged in connection the ensuing season.
