ELECTRIC LIGHT FOR JOHNSONVILLE.

Tho Johnsonville Town Board are making arrangements for tho lighting of tho town districts with electricity. A conference -took place yesterday between Messrs. P. T. Moore, J. Rod, and B. Bowles (representing the Johnsonville Town Board) and Mr. Stuart Richardson (city electrical ongineor), to discuss tho terms on which the city would be prepared to light Johnsonville. .At tho present time the city wires travel well beyond Johnsonville, and then down the hill to tho Municipal Abattoirs, so that the proposal to extend the wires to Johnsonville would not be so expensive as it looks at first glance. 'As a matter of fact, tho city wires already traverse a corner of the Town Board's district. After going into tho matter pretty fully, the city electrical engineer intimated that he thought tho ifork could bo undertaken conditionally on the board guaranteeing 20 per cent, on the outlay involved in the installation of the lightsome J31200. The members of the board considered the proposal a reasonable one, and stated that they were prepared to make such a guarantee. The proposal will now be put before the Electric Lighting Committee and the Johnsonville Town Board for formal ratification, a'nd, barring hitches, the work will go forward in duo course.
