EulHes did not come up to advertised numbers, no sheep coming forward. .The cattlo comprised mostly springing sheifcrs and, cowa, whicn mot with a ready' sale under tho hammer, with pripes on a par with our last sale. Wo quote :—Springing heifers, £3 15s. to £5 55.; cows, £4 15s. to.£6 65.; yearling steers, to £2 17s. 6d.; empty heifers, £2; cows with calves at foot, ,'£2 Its. to £5. .
The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company's market reports for the week ending September; 24 are ns follow:—At'Feilding on Friday wo had. a. medium entry'of sheep,' and a good entry of cattle. There was a good attendance of buyers, and a good clearance was effected -at satisfactory prices. -Wo quote-.— Sheep: Forward ewex, bs. 6d. to lis. I'd.; medium hoggets, 10s.-to 10s. Yd.; aged wethers, 12b. Abraham and Williams, Limited, report on their Eketahuna stock sale, held yesterday, as follows:—Wo submitted a fairly large ontry of cattlo to a good attendance .of the public,' the yarding consisting mainly of springing heifers and dairy cows, which did not soil so well as at previous sales.. Most of tho entry, however, changed hands . under the hammer. In sheep, wo yarded some lines of wethers in forward ■ condition, which made full- prices, on .a par with other markets, tho wholo of our entry being disposed of,"'with tho exception of ono pen of owes and lambs.
