DANNEVIRKE BUTTER FACTORY.

The annual report of the Dannevirke Dairy Company, to be presented to next Thursday,' states that the quantity of milk purchased' from suppliers during the past year was 42,6711b. more than in the previous year, and but for the effect of the previous year's drought and consequent loss of stock, the increaso would no doubt have beeu greater. Particulars as to supply output ,are as follow: —Milk received, 3,690,6131b.; butter-fat received, 138,0141b.: butter made, 03941b.; cheese made, 350,714 lb.; average test,' 3.74. ment of cash bonus on milk supplied during the year at the, rate of 1 9-16tbs of a penny per lb. butter-fat, £898 10s. 7d.; balance of profit carried forward, £17 9s. 9d.-; total, £982 15s. 9d. The average prico paid •to suppliers for butter-fat for the season will thus be slightly more than Is. per lb.—the highest price yet paid. , > The retiring directors are Messrs. Walscbe and Beatty. '
