Mr. Frederick E. A. Graham, tho husband of Mrs. Edith Annie Graham, formerly of Christohurch, died on June 21 at St. Leonards-on-Sea. '■ ' ' 'Mr. and Mrs. Trevor W. Evans, of Tβ Kuiti, King Country, who arrived by the Corinthic last month, are at present staying with Mr. Evaijs's brother at Cheltenham. , . ■'■■-• ' Jilr.. J. ' W. Thomson, of Dune'din, has left London on a three weeks' visit to the Continent.. Afterwards he will tour Ireland and Scotland, and leave for Now Zealand, via Canada onSeptember 10. Mr. J. D. Ritchie, of Wellington, Secretary for Agriculture, has arrived in London, having travelled overland from Brindisi, where ho disembarked from tho India. Mr.. Ritchie, whoso trip to tho Old Country was taken principally for health and pleasure's sake, expects to 'remain here for about ten weeks. lie goes to Scotland, and .will probably remain there during the month of July. Whilst in tho United Kingdom ho will visit tho principal agricultural shows, and'has already scon tho Royal Show at Gloucester. Ho will return to New Zealand, via Canada. ' ■ ■ Captain James Tnylor,' the commodore of tho Clyde-Rangoon Fleet, who has just retired after 40 years at sea, was for 19 years in -the/trade between Glasgow and New Zealand. He made his first voyngo to New Zealand in 1863, as an apprentice in the Robert Henderson, and,l3 years later lie' attained his first command on the ship Timaru.' , Since 18*2 he has been voyaging between the Unilod Kingdom and Rangoon. Throughout , his'long career in the mercantile marine, Captain Tnylor has been with the .one firm, Messrs. ;P. Henderson and Co., of Glasgow.. ■'' . ' ,
