LACROSSE.
\ For the past five Saturdays lacrosse enthusiasts have been compelled to journey to Hiramar owing to the city being considered too wet. for play. There is, however, . every probability that play will be permitted : on the Basin Eeserve and Duppa Street ground this afternoon, • and the games . set down for competition should draw.a good , attendance of spectators. The watch on the Busiu Eeserve betwcKn the Wellington ; (late • Federal) Club and ■Kelburne should be well contested, as both, clubs are, putting'a strong team in the field. AVellington will be represented by Laing, Robinson, M'Qonell, Murray, Kenouf, Levy, Carver,. Penlington, Stacey, Beamish, 'Travis, and Liardet. The Kclburne team consists of Lord, Meyer, Proud; Wobb ( : Courtney, Nicholls, Miller, Martin, Loughnan, Wilson, Shaw, and Williams.
