Tho homo team was tho fiiat to score, Woodhead getting a try, which Brackenrig convorted. Tho Maoris then made the paoo terrific, tackling strenuously, and evontually Tuki got over. Tho shot at goal failed. Enthusiasm was intensb, and a fierce struggle continued to the call of-, time; but without'either side increasing its score. The Australians thus won by 3 points.
