SUDDEN DEATH.
An-inquiry was held at the morgue yes-1 terday .atternoou by Dr. A. M'Arthur, S.M:;. Coroner, into tho 'sudden death of the manl Arthur-Welleslov Fodefi,-who'expired in the ambulance ou j Tuesday while being removed from Karoji.to the Hospital.' Dr.'.it'yffe, who made', a post-mortem, examination of . tlio body,' stated that the cause of- death was mitral . stenosis, ■■ followed by double pleurisy witH' effusiori.'The ■ exertion, of. walking frpm theShous'eto the ambularice'was- sufficient to. ■ cause...'death,' considering:, the;.state ', of ..'the! man.'-- ; . ... , /' , . , r . ■ ;A'da , 'HoqKe," sister of deceased; ; with whijin he had been: staying. for ; the past". two years, • statedthat -Foden- was. a baker by -trade, but'-had not followed\ hi 3 trade for some years,- having latterly been a professional pianist. He had: been in good health up to live or six weeks ago,- when he complained of a pain in his chest whenever he hurried. He .was under the impression that he had indigestion,: but -on- Tuesday morning he decided to go ,in'to tho Hospital for treatment. The .ambulance was sent for, and depeased was assisted out to it. When ho got into the ambulance he expired suddenly. - . Elsie ,E. Hooke, and A. Ewmg, the driver of<the. ambulance, also gave evidence. ■ A verdiot was. returned in acoordanco with the medical evidence.
