A Chicago. correspondent tells of the son of a multi-millionaire, who has been working as a common labourer for some timo past on the South Pacific railway. The young man is Thomas Kruttschuitt, the son of Mr. Julius Kruttschnitt, who is tho manager of the line. The young man,'who is trying to work his, way from the bottom without a "pull," has just been appointed assistant roadmaster-of a division on the line.
