MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.
' The Missions to Seamen Institute was orowded on. Wednesday evening, when the Victoria College Gleo Club provided a delightful concert. ;Mr. Jamos Moore, the .missioner, occupied the chair, The following contributed to tho programme:—Song, Miss Oram; song,.Mr. Bryant; rebitation, Mr. Gibb; quartet, Misses Fell and Butler, Messrs. Bogle and Hyams;trio, violins And piano, Miss Anderson, Messrs. Bryant andAnderson; violin solo, Mr. Anderson. The Glee Club, under the conductorship of Mr. Anderson, rendered several flees, Miss Clachan playing tho accompaniments. The audience, led by Mr. Moore, sang popular choruses in good style, and a most amusing conundrum competition was woa sailors ironi ships in port. During a short interval, the misslener, briefly addressed the audience on the temperance question, six men subsequently taking the pledge.., Tho performers wore accorded.a hearty vote of Mr. Gibb, .the secretary, responding. Light refreshments were dispensed at the-conclusion of the concert. <:\. .
