On Monday iv meeting iras ; held.at-which so'md'lso'per-, sons were present, and a league was formed. Since then matters have ..matured, & meeting " being":held at North■ Shore-last•'■ evening, at iwhich there, was a largo attendance, and a strong club was formed shaving for its' officials some leading residents.; The club.has two teams to put in tho field/ and has practically taken the :pick of; amateur players fromtheir district club. '.■ .'• . . This evening, a preliminary .meetmg was 'held', in. the city, about 20 players attending,and steps were taken to form a club.. It'.-is stated that.a Newton Club will be formed next' week, there being considerable dissatisfaction among: the members .at the management of the Auckland-'TJnion. The! officials of/the league have procured,their ground at "Epsqm;' and will commence a series of fixtures at once. ; : j
