A. W.r Nej-ton (president of the Wellington Provincial Industrial Association), E, Bull, 1 and S. S.Williams (vice-presidents), T.. Ballinger and It.'Partridge .(members of th<j executive), and H. P. Allen (Secretary). 1 Mr.-. Nowton said that the executiyo of his association was: indebted (to the Headmasters Association, the Education Board, and the management of the private' schools _ who ;had worked out the details and assisted in various ways.; The purpose of the competition was to cultivate the art of composition in the scholars, and to instil into the rising generation a, feeling of loyalty towards the industries of the Ddminion.'The time,had come, he- considered, whon' ! New Zealand-made, goods should have preference among buyers, and it Aras to urge ■the importance: , that , Industries Week had I .been.promoted. ■ .. .
