Other charges wore , that acoused received sums of, £1 4s. and 13si 9d. on behalf of Frederick Johansen, and that lie did issue two valueless cheques, each for £1, on Thos. Broome, and two, each of £1, on Martin Johansen, during the months of April and June. 'Counsel ior accused said he had arranged to take tho charges together, and had instructed .accused to ploadguilty and ask to'be dealt with summarily. \Ho proposed to ask that the provisions of the First Offenders Probation Act bo extended to ac--cased.;.
