ABSENTEE PREMIERS.

, Sir,—l should like to protest against this habit developed by the Premiers of thie country .of running off to England on the least provocation. The people of the Dominion nave been, very good to this: Government for the past twenty years, and yet both the present Prime Minister and his predecessor reward them by getting oat of the country as much as possible. I should like to know how man v times Sir Joseph Ward has been to England. I should also like to know how much money it cost us to send him, and how ranch return/ we got for it. He was in England when his opportunity came for Premiership, and if he doesn't look out he will be there when he loses it.—l am, etc., .■;■-•■■ STAY THESE. June 12. ' ■ ' i
