Her horse-bolted in Karatnu Road, and throw her' heavily. She was picked up in an ■ unconscious condition, and. taken" to a private hospital, where, on examination, she was found to have suffered rather severe injuries to her head. At a late hour last nicht she was still unconscious. ■ At a special,meeting of the Borough Count" i lel i-1 n TWrsday night, the Mayor (Mr. J. A. Miller),presiding, the question of raising a speeiaHoan for sewerago extension was deferred for further consideration. Tho Fire Brigade ball, held on Thursday evening, at the Drill Hall, was attended by over 100 .conples. . A number of. visiting firemen were also present.
