..' .- London, April 22. -Miss Ethel M. Lorio (Mrs. Henry Cooper), of Rototuna, -Waikato, has just arrived- in London from Ceylon. / ••-■-,■• Mr. and Mrs. IVN. Dillon, of, Marlborough, have .arrived in England. " They travelled from Sydney to Marseilles by tho P. and 0. liner >. Mooltan, _ then | spent a week in Paris, and ton days in Loiidon. They aro present staying with relatives at Oxford, and will probably leave for New Zealand some time in August or September. -~ Mr. E. W. .G. Rathbone, of Auckland, arrived in London last week by the lonic.' aftor. a • very smooth passage, and proceeded to Liverpool on a visit to,his relatives.; ' ' The High Commissioner, will visit Strnt-ford-on-Avon to-morrow, St. George's Day, at the invitation,of the Shakespeare Club, to perform' the. ceremony of unfurling tho New /Zealand/flag, presented to the Shakespeare Club by tho Now Zealand Government. Mr. Hall-Jones will also attend tho festival dinner, of the Royal Society of St. George,, in the evening. >■'. '~'•.' , i -'' ... Mr. William Low and Mr. J: T. Cooper, of Dunedin, arrived ;in London last week by the Papanui from Monta Video, whither they had travelled from New Zealand by the Tainuj. r 'Mr. Robert J. Alexander, of the Pacific Cable; steamer Iris, who makes Auckland his headquarters,_has just arrived in London on six months' leave of absence, accompanied by Mrs. Alexander.' O'Leary, of New Plymouth,-is at present staying with his wife and daugh-; tors at Leipzig, where the Misses O'Leary: are studying. music at the Royal Conservatorium.. Miss Iris O'Leary has just.received hor diploma from'the Conservatorium, where; she has-been a pupil for the past two years,: taking the piano with Frauleiu Leitz,'and-harmony-with Prof. Scbreck. She has t&-, ceived very high' praise for her work, her. piano playing being especially mentioned. Miss O'Leary will continue her studies in Leipzig for another year as n private pupil; of Herr Torchmuller. Mr. O'Leary is returning to .London at. tho end of April,] and will visit most of the leading provincial centres in the Old sailing for Now Zealand towards the end of the year. .'■
