At to-day's conference of the Farmers' Union delegates, tho following motion, submitted by tho Hamilton branch, was_ carried;—" That as the continued unsatisfactory position with rogurd to the _ opening up of Nativo lands is causing serious loss to the whole Dominion, and tho Auckland trovince in particular, tho Government be again urged to bring down more satisfactory legislation to enable tho subject to be dealt ivfth; that,tho Nativo lands bemado equally liable with European to contribute to local rates; and that tho various local bodios bo requested to'co-operato with a committee sot up by the Farmers' Tlnion Conference."
