Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their fortnightly sale at Eketahuna on Friday. The report states:—Wo had a good yarding of both sheep and cattle, and sheep of all descriptions sold well. . Cattlo 'sold at late values, Wo were successful in quitting the whole of our entry of sheep, and all but two pens of cattlo. We quoto:— I Two'and four- • tooth wethers,' 10s. Id. to 12s. id.; breeding ewes, 95., 9s. 9d., 10s. Id., to 12s. 7d.j lambs, 7s.,'Bs. 3d., to 9s. 2d. Messrs. Perry Bros.' ewes made the satisfactory price of 12s. 9d. Mercantile Agency Company's market report for weekend-: ing May 21 is as.follows:—At Rangiwahia on Tuesday thero was a fair yarding of sheep, and 1 a small. entry'of'cattle; Recent values were, well maintained.' At Feilding on Friday we had a good yarding .of sheep and cattle. | Buyers were present in good'.numbers, and competed freely for .good skinned, wethers. Lambs were, a shado easier 'than last: week's rates, but there'was good inquiry for goddquality breeding owes. Cattle also sold well, young steers making good values. At Stratford, on Tuesday, there was an unusually large yarding of stock, and a big attendance of buyers. Most of the cattle wero grown steers, a fair' number'of which were, sold at the hammer,: the "balance being mostly placed after the sale: Included in the entry' was Mr< Frank Mackay's annual draft of about 200 head (18-months to three-year steers), which were. sold without reservoi and: found ready, purchasers at late ruling .prices..
