. — '(BI TELEGIUrH—PRESS ASSOCIATION.) • Chrlstohurch, May 12. At the Supremo; Court to-day, Ludwig Hoft ; charged with assault with intent, was acquitted. Christopher Isaac Denby, exstationmaster at Lceston, was sentenced to six months for theft of a parcel from tho railway station, and William Anderson . to eighteen months for receiving stolon property.
