Several exciting finishes took placo, notably tlioso between Maiora nnd Silken Rein in tho Cup, Tumut and Irish Riflo in tho Flying Handicap, and Abei ration and Sandix in tho Welter, Diplomatic won tlip hurdles from ond to ond, Twinkle got a big itfefik m tho Maiden, and juat lasted long enough to score by a length, Telford anticipating tho barrier and spoiling an otherwiso good start. Mr. AngU3 Keith Was starting for tho first time at Blonheira, and was very successful. Tho Cup was a splendid faco, Osiris led down tho back by five lengths, and tho boy Tv as hard at him the Wholo way. Tho San Fran gelding is a big, awkward horse, and tho rider was beat beforo him, otherwise ho might havo won. H. Cairns was seen at his best on Maiora, and also on Tumut and Aberration. Daisy Paul had a very bad run in tho Cup, being chopped all over tho course. Tumut started an. outsider in tho Flying, on account of hi 3 bad track form, Irish Riflo being 'a hot ordef.
