THE NEW ZEALAND HOCKEY ASSOCIATION. (by teleqbafk—peess association.) Christchurch, April 29. At a meeting of the newly-appcinled executive of the New Zealand Hockey Association, held after the annual meeting to-Mght, it was decided to disallow tho challenging of tho association's percentage of gato receipts in challenge shield matches. The chairman (Mr. Nordon) ruled that the English Association s rules, immediately on being passed by the Homo Association, become oporativo in New Zealano. Tho Southland Association forwarded a resolution recommending secession of too. New Zealand Hookev Association from tho Sports federation. This was the outcome ot the disqualification of the Southland Caledonian Society by the federation. Notice of motion was givpn that effect .be given to .Southland Association's resolntion^^^^^^
