' DROWNED IN A BATH. Rotorua, April 27. Charles Keen, aged.22, was drowred in tho Lobster Bath, Kairau Reserve, at 11 o'clock this morning. Deceased went into tho hath accompanied by a companion named Brown, and almost immediately sank. Ho rose to tho surfaco and sank again, but did not again como to tho surfaco. Brown ran for assistance, and Maoris dived and recovered the body, but too late. Deceased arrived hero about a week ago on his honeymoon. He was married on April 16. Ho camo from Auckland. Tho Lobster Bath is not recognised as a public bath, all bathing there doing so on their own responsibility. Thero havo been several deaths in tho same bath. It is supposed the bathers wero overcome by fumes.
FALL OVER A PRECIPICE. Duneriln, April 26. Audrow 'Weatherston, aged fifteen, employed at v tho Mount Judah station, Lake Wakatipu, went out mustering on the hills last Thursday. Ho did not return on I; nday, and , a search resulted in his body being found ou Sunday at tho foot of a precipice, over which ho had fallen. Death was,evidently instantaneous.
l . ACCIDENTAL DEATH, Chrlstchurch, April 26. At the inquest on John Doylo, who was injured at Glentunnel on April 19, and died in tho hospital on April 22, a verdict of accidental death was returned, a rider being added that ambulance stretchers should bo carried on all railway guards' vans.
