A.very hearty vote of thanks was . also accorded to Mr. Petherick for hii generosity to tho club,, as mentioned above.' It: was resplved to.open the season: on Saturday next, all chess plavers to be invited, xt is.hoped that Mr. Crackanthorpe,. chess champion of New South. Wales, will bo present.
