OLD BOYS' CRICKET CLUB.
: ANNUAL SMOKE CONCERT. An enjoyable smoke concert was held by the Old Boys' Cricket Club in Godber's Booms ilnst night, Dr. Martin presiding over a largo attendance. The following toasts were honoured: "The King," "The Wellington Cricket Association," proposed by Mr. S. S. Brown and responded to by Mr. B. L. Salmon.; "The Winning Team, 'Alma Mater,' and Old Boys' Associatbn," proposed by tho chairman (Dr. Martin) and responded to by Mr. C. P. Blacklock; "Our Opponents," proposed by Mr. S. Jacobs, and responded to by Mr. W. Perry j "Tho Umpires' Association," proposed by Mr. L. Goldfinch, and responded to by Mr. A. E. Wilson; "Kindred Sports," proposed by Mr. Len M'Kenzio and responded to by representatives of football, swimming, rowing etc. Songs and recitations, helping to make- the evening an enjoyable one, were rendered by Messrs. Jacobs, IVilvey, I). Twohill, A. Cummings, Morrison, Roberts, Ilobday, S. S. Brown, H. Graves, B. J. Jacobs, and J. l>. Blacklock. During an interval Mr. Sloan was presented with a bat in recoginiton of his play during tho past season.
